Free Pattern: Super Hero Mask/Ear Warmers

Funny story.  I made the boys some ear warmers and at first they thought they were pretty cool... then they thought they were cooler when they pulled them over their eyes and tried to be super heroes... yeah, super heroes that were bumping into walls...

They gave be a great idea though, and make these fun little numbers:
They were so easy, that I wrote the pattern down and decided to give it up for free on here.  These are great, and my boys LOVE them... not only do they keep their ears warm, but they give them superhero personas.  Happy kids make a happy mom.

Fasten off.

*Here, you can add rows or take them away as needed for your child's size.  This pattern above is for young boys, the same size fit the both of mine and their heads are different sizes.

Joining:  You can add a couple buttons to fasten it if you want, but what I did was I just made the bands the size of their heads when I stretched it around, then I just stitched it closed with some yarn and a yarn needle so it was just one big ring.

For girls:  I thought it would also be fun to make in pink or purple for the girls.  You can add a little bow to the side, or a cute little flower.  Just have fun, that's what crocheting, especially for kids, is all about.

  4. Sorry for the late reply. I didn't realize I hadn't replied. Best resource is to go on Youtube and Pinterest. There are lists and lists of abbreviations. Make sure to be specific when you are looking for American vs UK terminology. Hook sizes are different as well. Once you figure out what is what then you will catch on quickly. It's a ton of fun to do. Best of luck!
